We welcome everyone to water recreation each season, and we wish to take this opportunity to emphasize water safety.
Before starting your boating season visit the U.S. Coast Guard’s
“You’re In Command” safety site for tips on staying safe.

Remember: Never venture near the water without an adult.
If you are boating,
ALWAYS WEAR A PERSONAL FLOATATION DEVICE.
Some call a Personal Floatation Device (PFD), a Life Jacket.

Merrimack Valley Dive Rescue
Local Events

Annual Lou Marcel Canoe Race
 to benefit the Special Olympics Massachusetts Northeast Section.
We provide safety services for this canoe race on the Merrimack River.  This event started at the Essex County Correctional Alternative Center in Lawrence and the canoes raced about 7 miles to the Crescent Yacht Club in Bradford, MA.

Lawrence Celebration Regatta
In 2003, we saw the return of the Regatta to the
Merrimack River in Lawrence, MA.
Working with local public safety agencies, we are helping to provide safety units for the races.  The races run on the Merrimack River above the dam starting just upstream from the Lawrence Community Boating Center and proceeding downstream past the public boat ramps.
We hope you can make it to The Regatta this year.
